Water Pollution Control – Operator I

This position is an entry-level position. This position performs repair and maintenance on the wastewater collection system including lines and lift stations. Performs inspection and collection of data. Assists in the operation and maintenance the pump stations and conducts daily tests, mows the grass and other related activities. Performs routine maintenance on the collection system including cleaning sewer lines, repairing and maintaining manholes sections of sewer main, cutting roots, televising and other related activities. Assists with the operation of the sewer jet, vacuum unit, easement machine and camera vehicle to maintain the sanitary sewer collections systems. As well as other duties

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

One year related experience and/or training; or associate’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or equivalent required

Other Requirements – Certificates/Licensures

Commercial driver’s license, within one year of hire.

Wastewater D Collection, within one year of hire.
