This is an entry-level, non-regular, hourly position responsible for performing a variety of hands-on duties with the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center ranging from administrative tasks to basic manual labor tasks. What to Expect: As our Sports Center Helper you will be responsible for answering the phones at the skate shack, running the POS system, and providing customer service to the Menard clients. You will engage in a variety of assignments under the general direction of the Sports Center Facility Supervisor. Due to the nature of the business, high volume times occur over the weekends and evenings, which is when you will likely be called to work. This is a non-regular, temporary position without benefits. The current workload is roughly 15-25 hours per week.Background Information on the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Center: The Menard Center is the premier indoor sports and event facility in the Mat-Su Valley. Show-cased on 60 beautiful, wooded acres, the Menard Center at 104,000 square feet, includes an NHL-size ice arena, an indoor artificial turf court, (the MTA Turf Arena), dryland training center, a running/walking track, batting cage with pitching machine, three community meeting rooms, and a commercial kitchen. On the complex grounds: rodeo arena with grandstand bleachers, and one-mile paved walking trail around the perimeter of the property.
