What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cemetery Grounds Maintenance - Seasonal position at City of Waukesha?
Cemetery grounds maintenance duties including cutting and trimming grass, hedge-trimming, mulching, planting flower beds, watering, and assistance with various landscaping projects.
Seasonal hours:- Tentatively May through August.
- Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; start date/hours can be flexible.
Essential Duties:
- Cutting and trimming grass around monuments and markers.
- Maintaining flower beds; planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and trimming hedges or shrubbery.
- Assisting with burials as needed.
- Related duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must comply with City policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience on zero-turn mower and trimmers
