DEFINITION
Under general supervision, provide supporting administrative services for all divisions within Building & Community Services; perform cashiering functions, process payments, provide customer service support, clerical support, professional support to the director and other duties as assigned.
This is a single-incumbent classification. Employee reports to the Assistant Director of Building & Community Services.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manages day-to-day administrative functions of the assigned division.
- Process billing, purchase orders, requisitions, invoices and payment authorizations in accordance with City Policy.
- Accepts and post payment for miscellaneous transactions, deposits from other departments, make change, balances cash drawer and prepares bank deposits.
- Handles customer inquiries both in person and on the telephone.
- Processes bill payments.
- Researches billings and payment histories upon request. Prepares written information to customers regarding billing and / or explanation of charges.
- Maintains files in accordance with public records laws and retention requirements.
- Maintains equipment and supplies needed for day-to-day operations.
- Responds to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provides information with the area of assignment; resolves complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assist in the following items as directed :
Receive and respond to code complaints from residents and other constituents.
