Description

Under general supervision, performs various semi-skilled maintenance and unskilled labor work related to the City of Waxahachie Sports Complex or other related areas. Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a single incumbent position whose duties are performed at the Sports Complex.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks to assist the maintenance staff in keeping the sports complex area, ground and facility clean by picking up and performing proper disposal of trash, recyclables, and compostable debris.
• Perform custodial work, including the cleaning of restrooms.
• Operate various equipment on a nightly basis including scoreboard panels and field lights.
• Ensure all gate entrances are locked and secure at the end of the night.
• Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
• Provides outstanding customer service and ability to defuse situations that may occur.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
