They oversee and participate in the provision of lifeguarding services at the City aquatics facility and related work, both apparent and assigned. The work consists of related supervisory and lifeguarding duties. Work under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Skills in Customer Service, public relations and problem solving are key components to success in this position. The need to respond to emergency incidents contributes to the complexity of the position. Success in this position contributes to the safety of patrons. This is a seasonal position with no benefits.DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICSReceives direction from the Pool Supervisor and the Director of Parks and Recreation.
