SUPERVISOR OF PROCUREMENT & RISK MANAGEMENT
The City of Waynesboro seeks qualified applicants for the position of Supervisor of Procurement and Risk Management.
This position will perform complex, skilled, and technical work overseeing the activities of the central purchasing system and warehouse inventory for a wide variety of commodities and supplies. Maintain and monitor insurance policies, process claims, and documentation for the City. Perform annual Library of Virginia record retention processing. This position will supervise purchasing staff, direct a yearly inventory count, and work closely with City insurance provider.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or equivalent, two (2) years of experience utilizing purchasing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preparing solicitation specifications, contract review, and creating procurement policies for a large organization. Experience with risk management principles, insurance policies, and claim processing. History of managing inventory systems or warehouses. Must possess a Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience. Library of Virginia (LOV) Records Officer experience a plus. VCO, VCA, VCCO, CPPB, and CPPO certifications are preferred. VCO certification is required for this position and must be obtained within one year.
