What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE WORKER I - STREETS position at City of Weatherford, TX?
The City of Weatherford’s Transportation and Public Works Department is looking to hire a Maintenance Worker I to assist the Streets Division. This position will aid in the repair, construction and maintenance of the City's streets and surface drainage system. If you think you’d be a good fit, we would like to hear from you.
Roles & Responsibilities include:
- Shoveling asphalt, hot mix or operating various equipment such as a jack hammer.
- Creating, repairing, painting or installing a variety of street signs and barricades.
- Direct and control traffic while performing construction duties in high traffic areas.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Two years' experience performing maintenance, construction or repair duties on streets and or roadways. • Must have a valid Class C or Class A Texas CDL license. If no CDL, must possess the ability to obtain one within 180 days of employment.
