Examples of Duties:
What you’ll do - Key Responsibilities
- Review and audit accounts, cash receipts, payroll & other accounting records and transactions
- Review, prepare and enter journal entries for recording in the accounting system
- Reconcile financial ledgers & bank records
- Create financial statements & reports, general and subsidiary ledgers (and supporting schedules)
- Research and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile taxes withheld, prepare monthly and quarterly government reporting
- Assist with the annual audit
- Oversee the annual business licensing process
Typical Qualifications:
You Have (Knowledge & Abilities):
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of governmental accounting experience
- Ability to pass an extensive background check
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
- Tyler Technologies experience a plus
