Department: Public Works – Water Division
Status: Full-Time | Hourly
Location: West Allis, WI
Schedule: M–F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM On-Call Rotation

Schedule: M–F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM On-Call Rotation

- Operate and maintain water pumps, reservoirs, tanks, and SCADA monitoring systems
- Collect and analyze water samples for chlorine, bacteria, lead, and other contaminants
- Conduct fire hydrant maintenance and flushing programs
- Support data collection for lead service line replacements
- Troubleshoot alarms and respond to emergencies 24/7 on a rotating schedule
- Maintain accurate records and logs for inspections and reporting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb towers, work indoors/outdoors year-round
- Strong mechanical, lab, and computer skills (Excel, SCADA, lab equipment)
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (Municipal Waterworks Operator, CDL, NIMS)
- A commitment to public health, safety, and teamwork
- Forklift certification
- LEAN/Six Sigma familiarity
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and SCADA systems
