Examples of Duties
- Leads recruitment and selection, promotion and transfer efforts for city departments.
- Adheres to local, State and federal employment and discrimination laws, and City policy; evaluates recruitment strategies and sources; designs and implements effective and efficient approaches for sourcing, recruitment, candidate evaluation, selection and retention, utilizing available technology.
- Collaborates with HR team to develop and maintain new employee orientation materials, provides onboarding for new hires including scheduled check-ins, performs new employee orientations; assists employees in making informed benefit choices and in enrolling in benefit programs; tracks and files digital forms and required acknowledgments.
- Supports annual benefit enrollment and communication.
- Processing Personnel Action Forms (PAF) by entering changes in HRIS or other systems, sharing with Payroll and filing.
- Collaborates with HR staff to formulate and establish departmental goals, workplace priorities and allocation of resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Human Resource Administration, or related field with educational emphasis on talent acquisition/retention, psychology or employment law.
- 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or HR operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, HRIS and other related HR software (applicant tracking, performance management, onboarding, benefit administration) knowledge of NeoGov (Insight, Onboard and Perform) software desirable.
