Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. As an Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively. Please provide a cover letter.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence
- Maintain office supplies and inventory
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate meetings and prepare meeting materials
- Assist with proofreading documents for accuracy and completeness
- Support office management by organizing files and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred
- Familiarity with office management procedures
- Assists with event planning
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in using office equipment such as printers, scanners, and copiers

- Experience in and/or knowledge of computers, word processing software, spreadsheets, Outlook, and Internet Explorer research
- Capable of handling confidential information
Qualification Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in business / office administration or related area preferred)
- Ability to become or is a Notary Public
- Attend online FOIA and Open Meeting instructions to receive certification
