The City of West Plains is seeking a Transit Supervisor to lead our dedicated transit team. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and support transit staff, including performance evaluations and training.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure safety, service quality, and schedule adherence.
- Respond professionally to rider concerns, service disruptions, and driver support needs.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance with the fleet team to ensure operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, FTA).
- Ensure all weekly, monthly and annual reporting is completed and submitted on time.
- Track ridership data, logs, and incident reports for reporting and analysis.
- Assist with budgeting and hiring processes.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two (2) years of experience in public transit or a related field, with supervisory responsibilities preferred. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with passenger, airbrake, and tanker endorsements.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the job, including assisting passengers with mobility devices, performing pre-trip inspections, and working in various weather conditions.
Salary and Benefits:
This position has a salary range of $22.79 - $31.77 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
