What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Wastewater Operations Maintenance position at City of Whitewater?

- Provides proper maintenance of landscapes, utilizing a variety of equipment such as pickup trucks, mowers, specialized turf mowing and trimming equipment.
- Performs maintenance on mowers, trimmers, and a variety of lawn care equipment.
- Assists with building maintenance such as general janitorial duties, cleaning and painting buildings and fences, and garbage collection.

- Must be at least age 16.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools strongly desired.
- Prior experience using light equipment and motorized maintenance vehicles desired.
- Significant attention to safety standards, procedures, and practices.
- Proper and safe operation of both light and heavy equipment and tools, including, but not limited to trimmers, weed whips, watering system, and hand tools.
- Professional and appropriate responsiveness when interacting with the public.
- Professional appearance and proper wear of work-wear. Must wear steel toed safety shoes. All seasonal staff will wear t-shirts and long pants. Safety vest (provided) as needed.
- Comfort working with heights and confined space.

- The employee must exert physical effort varying from sedentary to continuous activity during a work shift. Involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with no restrictions and 75 pounds occasionally
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to crouch, crawl, kneel, stoop, and climb.
