BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of building maintenance. This is accomplished by completing electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, painting, carpentry, construction, floor, ceiling and roofing, and other miscellaneous repairs. Other duties include obtaining work and equipment estimates, picking up materials, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment and delivering materials.

1 L Regular and reliable attendance in compliance with given schedules is a mandatory requirement of this position. Schedules may be subject to change with or without advance notice.
2 M Preserves the appearance and safety of the buildings by maintaining, installing and replacing electrical equipment and amenities, plumbing equipment such as toilets, sinks, water heaters, fountains and showers, HVAC equipment such as belts, fuses, compressors, motors, monitoring energy management systems, observing contractors, and completing preventive maintenance activities.
3 M Estimates and orders supplies and equipment by maintaining records of supplies and equipment used, estimating jobs, ordering supplies, picking up materials, checking for work orders, monitoring and assisting contractors, completing required paperwork, and responding to emergency call outs.
4 M Completes a variety of construction projects by installing equipment, building offices, painting, working on phone lines and other miscellaneous projects.

Formal Education Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Junior college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence schools are likely sources. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.
