What are the responsibilities and job description for the MARKETING COORDINATOR position at City of Wichita Falls, Texas?
Assist the Marketing Manager in the Wichita Falls Multi-Purpose Event Center’s (MPEC) and Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) development and implementation of marketing initiatives to attract and increase the utilization of local hotels, amenities, restaurants, festivals and events, shopping and meeting and event facilities. Assist the Marketing Manager with all marketing projects to include, but not limited to, graphic design, photography, print and digital advertising, newsletters, publications, video, special events and tourism initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will be solely responsible for social media for both the MPEC and CVB. Other duties may include event servicing, event planners, and internal sales and event staff to ensure the successful completion of events. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, and basic knowledge of photography and camera use is a bonus.

2 S Assist in the design of high impact visual concepts that effectively market Wichita Falls for tourism and event related purposes.
3 S Assist with writing and edit copy for marketing materials including e-newsletters, blog posts, webpages and other assigned projects.
4 S Responsible for developing engaging content creation, scheduling, and monitoring all social media platforms for both the CVB and MPEC. This includes, but is not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and any other assigned platform.
5 S Analyzes social media engagement performance through the use of key performance indicators, including search engine optimization.
6 S At the direction of the Marketing Manager, coordinate with event and concert promoters for social media marketing and create regular social media insight reports.
7 M Participate in community and networking events with the goal of advertising upcoming MPEC events. Includes but is not limited to, set up and tear down of booth, engaging with customers through giveaways, promotions, etc., and partnering with local media for advertising and news stories. May provide marketing and/or event assistance when needed for large events.

Formal Education Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with a two-year associate’s degree, diploma or equivalent from a college, technical, business, vocational, or correspondence school. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.
Experience Over four years up to and including six years.
