Brief Description
The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain vehicles and equipment. This is accomplished by scheduling and completing preventive maintenance and routine activities such as changing oil, filters and tires, checking lights and fluids, rotating tires, greasing parts and repairing wiring. Other duties include picking up and delivering vehicles and equipment, entering work orders and installing special equipment on vehicles.
Licensing Requirements
Must possess a valid Driver's License at hire date. Must be able to obtain a Driver's License "M" endorsement within six months of hire date.

2 H Completes preventive maintenance and repairs vehicles and equipment by reviewing work orders, changing belts, brakes, hydraulics, hoses, batteries and starters, checking fluids and brakes, changing oil and filters, changing and rotating tires, checking all electrical parts, checking cooling systems, changing lights and batteries and entering all work orders.
3 L Delivers vehicles and picks up parts and materials by ordering purchases, making service calls, responding to pick up requests, assisting with wrecker services, and delivering vehicles.
4 L Maintains records by recording equipment, parts and supplies used, parts replaced, and advising supervisors of parts which may need to be ordered or purchased.
5 M Cleans and maintains the shop by cleaning all bays, removing trash and debris, sweeping floors and properly disposing of all supplies and used materials.
