Workdays and Hours - Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm

**Posting may close at any time **- Develops and coordinates all programing at the Museum including, but not limited to educational classes, guest lectures, special events, memberships, and rental inquiries.
- Produces educational product information for course listings
- Maintains statistical data, participant surveys, equipment and supplies
- Manages and coordinates program sign ups, student and membership information, and revenue collection.
- Researches, analyzes, and monitors trends and demographics to create programming that is engaging and relevant
- Contracts with various instructors, guest speakers, and special programs.
- Works with appropriate staff members to accomplish necessary marketing objectives
- Assists with daily operations such as general admissions and gift shop sales.
- Completion of work assignments may require the operation of a vehicle

- Ability to use a computer to access, interpret and record information including customer relations management
- Proficient with Microsoft products

- Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license
- Ability to lift equipment, materials and/or furniture weighing up to 50 lbs., and carry it up to 75 feet, daily.
- An employee shall not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
- 2 years of progressively responsible experience in developing and implementing innovative educational programs and coordinating special events.
- A valid Kansas driver’s license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Training
- Bachelor's degree in Native American studies, museum studies, art, education, communications, design, business, marketing, or arts administration.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, creativity, design, and computer skills.
- 5 years of experience in developing and delivering educational programs, preferably in a museum or cultural institution setting.
- 3 years of experience working with diverse populations, including different age groups and educational backgrounds.
- Experience in Native American cultural education and programming
- Experience in event planning and community outreach.
- Familiarity with membership management and promotional activities.
Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of the results of a criminal record check.
Salary : $45,644 - $74,950
