In this position, you'll greet and check in guests, process payments for pool passes, and answer questions to ensure every visitor has a positive experience. You'll also assist with maintaining pool areas, participate in safety training, and support your team in keeping the facility clean and welcoming. - Save the date! Neighborhood pools are set to open Monday, May 26, 2025.

- Assist guests with checking in and purchasing daily pool passes.
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies
- Enforce all City of Wichita Parks pools policies and procedures
- Participate in regular in-service training
- Assist in cleaning the facility and related areas and maintenance and operation of pool equipment

- At no time should any other job duties interfere with the primary responsibilities of a lifeguard: The safety of the patrons
- Ability to listen to, read, interpret, and apply instructions received
- Ability to climb steps or ladders
- Ability to move about quickly and stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop or squat, as needed to perform assigned tasks
- Ability to work outdoors in unpleasant weather conditions
- Ability to tolerate airborne nuisances associated with open grounds and windy conditions
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the public
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Obtain an American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid certifications no later than 06/11/2025
- Applicants must satisfactorily demonstrate required skills including CPR-PR and first aid.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
- Have a current American Red Cross CPR-PR and First Aid.
- Previous cash handling experience.
