- Develops and instructs classes, activities or games in an area of expertise.
- Works directly with class participants in specialty areas.
- Oversees preparation of class projects.
- May serve in a "lead" role oversee instructors in an assigned field, order supplies, maintain equipment and other related duties.
- Completion of work assignments may require operation of a vehicle.

- Considerable knowledge of the subject or activity to be taught
- Sufficient skill in the subject or activity to be credible as an instructor
- Ability to teach students who have a wide variety of experience and aptitude
- Ability to develop a class plan, and to organize and conduct classes according to the plan
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, and/or by whatever creative means are necessary to cross communication barriers
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates, participants and the public
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, furniture and/or supplies required for the assigned activity
- May require ability to work outdoors in unpleasant weather conditions
- May require ability to tolerate airborne nuisances associated with open grounds and windy conditions
- May require ability to acquire and maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License.

Required Experience and Training
- Must be at least 17 years old.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Training
- 6 months of experience in teaching or coaching tennis and/or pickleball.
- 6 months of experience developing lesson plans, conducting group classes, or organizing recreational activities.
- Certification in tennis and/or pickleball instruction (e.g., Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), or USA Pickleball Certification.
Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of a criminal record check.
