City of Williams Position Description Full-time Position (Grade 4)
Summary of Position
Performs semi‐skilled maintenance of the City’s facilities and grounds and provides landscaping services.
Organizational Relationships
1. Reports to: Maintenance Superintendent
2. Directs: This is a non supervisory position.
3. Other: Works with the general public and other City employees and performs landscaping and maintenance services. You must be 18 to operate the equipment necessary to perform the job.
Essential Duties
· Performs routine maintenance, including cleaning, mowing, and weed eating at park areas and other City‐owned facilities and properties.
· Performs setup and take down for special events.
· Performs other related duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Familiarity with City and OSHA safety requirements.
· Knowledge of MSDS for each chemical used.
· Use of proper safety equipment when performing tasks.
· Knowledge of correctly using the following equipment: weed eater, riding lawn mower, push mower, hedge trimmer, and chain saw.
· Ability to operate safely necessary equipment, including weed eaters, lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and chain saws.
· Ability to back up trailers and drive water trucks.
· Ability to use and wear all required personal protective equipment.
· Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and be exposed to outside elements and objectionable materials.
· Must possess a current valid Arizona Driver’s License when hired.
