What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Services Technician Intern position at City of Williston?
The City of Williston Development Services Department is seeking a Development Services Technician Intern, for the period of May 2025 through August 2025. (Dates are flexible)
Detailed Job Description: Performs technical work involving the interpretation and enforcement of municipal, property maintenance/ housing and zoning codes as is required of the Development Services office.
Responsibilities of the Internship will include: Assist Development Services including Planning and Zoning with site surveys, schedule roofing inspections, assist with code in managing various code compliance programs as they relate to dangerous buildings, property maintenance, trash/debris accumulation, abandoned vehicle storage, and public nuisance abatement.
Desired Majors and or fields of study: Experience in the construction industry and/or experience in law enforcement, code enforcement or paralegal in an attorney’s office. Any combination of education and/or experience that meets the minimal qualifications will be considered.
Special Requirements: Valid Driver’s License
Compensation: The internship will consist of 40 hours per week and the compensation shall be $17 per hour.
Note: The hours per week can be flexible and tailored towards the intern. We want to see our interns have a great experience.
