The City of Williston is seeking Landfill Workers (Seasonal) for the period of May 2025 through August 2025.
The position involves manual labor of a routine nature at the City Landfill, including cleaning fence lines, neighboring fields of paper and other debris.
- To collect wind-blown litter from the surfaces around the landfill fence line
- Walk slopes of landfill and collect wind blow paper
- Assist in construction of temporary fences
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City Policies, procedures and safe practices
- Performs other related duties as required
- Ability to be on one's feet for an extended period of time
- Ability to be exposed to changing weather conditions
- Ability to walk on rough terrain, withstand outdoor environment
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stoop and bend to pick up larger paper/plastic litter items.
- Work outdoors, in all weather conditions, on slopes and plateaus of landfill.
- Environment can be muddy, wet, dusty, hot and cold
- Limited contact with other employees and customers
