Public Works Crew Member

Job Overview
The City of Willow Park is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Public Works Department. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of public infrastructure, including roads, parks, water and sewer systems, and municipal facilities. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to serving the community.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
• Assist with landscaping and groundskeeping in public parks and spaces.
• Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and snowplows.
• Support water and sewer system maintenance, including repairs and inspections.
• Participate in seasonal tasks, such as snow removal, leaf collection, and storm cleanup.
• Install and maintain street signs, traffic control devices, and pavement markings.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in construction, maintenance, or public works is helpful.
• Ability to operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work in all weather conditions, and perform physical labor.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and emergency on-call shifts.
• Willingness to attending to attend training and earn a professional license through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
