Position Description
Typical Tasks
Repair and assist in all operations on streets by laying concrete; repairing damaged sidewalks, curbs, ramps, and gutters; removing or adding asphalt; finding existing depth of utilities being repaired; repairing concrete; inspecting all equipment and supplies; and ensuring projects are completed in a safe manner.
Oversee the work crew by scheduling work and tasks, monitoring the crew as they complete maintenance and repairs, assisting with equipment troubleshooting, operating equipment, providing training, ensuring safety, prioritizing tasks, and completing paperwork.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Three (3) years of related work.
Other Requirements:
- Class B Drivers License (CDL);Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to complete all assigned safety training classes.
- Ability to obtain HazMat/Tanker Endorsement and forklift training within 180 days of hire. Ability to obtain required FEMA certifications and ACI-Level I certification within first 12 months of employment.

Supplemental Information
Five (5) years asphalt or concrete construction experience, proven ability to lead crews.
Experience working in and setting up work zone safety and flagging.
Ability to read and understand blue prints and drawings.
Ability to use all types of heavy equipment used in road construction and repair.
Ability to read plans and blueprints, and establish slope and grade for roads and drainage facilities.
Knowledge of ADA standards.
