Position Description
Typical Tasks
- Performs operational support by maintaining buildings, assisting in storm preparation and clean up, attending safety meetings and training, communicating with the public, and maintaining equipment.
- Serves in a leadership role and is responsible for completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established guidelines that include overseeing and assisting the crew in carrying out assigned tasks, assist with equipment, troubleshooting and maintenance, operating equipment, provide on the job training for subordinates, ensuring daily reports, forms, etc. are completed accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and three years of relevant experience.
Other Requirements:
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of employment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to complete all assigned safety training classes.
- Ability to obtain required FEMA certifications and ACI-Level I certification within first 12 months of employment.
Supplemental Information
Work Environment: Work is primarily performed outdoors at various construction work sites.
