Duties and Responsiblities:
- Lead with Compassion: Oversee and mentor a dynamic team of Foster Care Professionals, guiding them with empathy and professionalism to provide the highest level of care for children and families.
- Be a Champion for Children: Advocate for the well-being and safety of children in foster care, ensuring their needs are met with integrity and diligence.
- Build Stronger Families: Collaborate with parents, kin, foster families, and community resources to facilitate reunifications and permanency planning.
- Drive Team Excellence: Empower staff through training, coaching, and ongoing support, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed in their roles.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state regulations and foster care policies, ensuring that all practices align with legal and ethical standards.
- Create a Positive Impact: Lead initiatives that enhance the quality of care and experiences for children, fostering an environment of hope, growth, and stability.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field or a Bachelor's Degree in any field and a minimum of 2 years of appropriate and related experience in a Human Services aree is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a Master Degree in Social Work is preferred
- Possession of a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Worker license is preferred
- Considerable experience in an assigned program area/human services programs and completion of required training programs
- Supervisory experience or work experience in a leadership role
- Valid Driver's license
