CLASS TITLE: Lake Ranger - Seasonal
Department: Parks and Public Lands (City Lake)
Reports to: Lake Supervisor
Pay: 06-07 Hourly
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSTION
Under general supervision performs work to support the maintenance and administrative duties of the City Lake.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ARE:
Requires public contact, Must Work Weekends
SUPERVISION-RESPONSIBILTY FOR WORK OF OTHERS:
None
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be minimum 18 years of age, high school graduation or GED, current driver’s license, and experience in operation of tractors, riding mowers, and weed eaters.

- Cleaning Restrooms
- Mowing, Trimming, and weed-eating
- Moving large trash cans and emptying trash
- General Maintenance of Lake facilities as needed
- Patrolling Lake and enforcing Lake ordinances
- Writing Citations for ordinance violations
- Entering Information on Computer
- Selling Lake Permits
- Running monetary reports and logs as requested

EXAMPLES, OF PERFORMANCE CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to stand, walk, sit climb, bend, crawl, kneel, twist, push, pull, reach, grasp, and perform similar body movements;
- Possesses hand/eye/foot coordination adequate to operate Grounds maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform physical work including lifting and carrying 25-50 pounds regularly, and up to 75-100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including but not limited to, rain, heat, and wind
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Participate in lake safety program
