Municipal Operations Assistant
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Municipal Operations Assistant to join our team at the City of Winona. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and operation of the municipal water treatment and distribution system.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, including oil changes, motor replacements, and bearing repairs.
- Assist in the cleaning and repair of pumps, filters, and valves.
- Operate various types of equipment, including mowers, sprayers, whippers, chainsaws, and snow blowers.
- Interact with the public to answer questions and resolve concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in municipal utility maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to obtain a Class B commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsement within six months.
- Ability to obtain a Class D Water Operator license within 16 months.
