Looking to learn new skills and help your community!? The Part-Time, On-Call Firefighter serves the community by responding to a wide variety of situations, ranging from emergencies that immediately threaten life or property to routine citizen requests for information or assistance. This work shall be done within the Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG’s) of the Winooski Fire Department and City policy, within the following general categories: fire suppression, rescue, hazardous material responses, training, equipment and station maintenance. It will be a requirement to attend regularly scheduled training(s) in order to maintain the level of knowledge, skill, and ability to work as part of a team.
