Summary
Hiring Bonus All hiring bonuses are listed as the net-pay you will receive.
- Lateral Officer incentive pay : $15,000.
- 2,500 after hire date.
- 2,500 after successful completion of Field Training.
- 5,000 after successful completion of initial probation.
- 2,500 at beginning of fiscal year following completion initial probation.
- 2,500 at beginning of fiscal year following previous fiscal year bonus.

Moving Expenses
All moving expenses are listed as the net-pay you will receive.If a lateral officer, recruit officer, or dispatcher moves to within 5 miles of the City borders after receiving a final offer of employment, that individual may be eligible for a one-time moving expense payment.
Uniform Stipend
An annual uniform stipend of $1,800 will be provided for sworn officers.
Under general supervision, the Police Officer performs police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related law enforcement activities. Maintains department equipment, supplies, and facilities. Maintains contact with the general public, court officials, and other City officials in the performance of police operating activities. This position is a tentative ?At-Will? appointment and subject to a probationary period of twelve (12) months from the date of hire. Upon successful completion of a probationary period, a non-management employee shall be granted regular status in the classification in which the probationary period is served.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or vocational training in Police Science, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or related field AND One (1) year of progressively responsible experience as a fully commissioned Police Officer; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Physical Demands / Working Environment
Work is performed in a standard office environment and in the field at various locations throughout the City of Winslow and requires exposure to various weather conditions, dangerous and potentially life-threatening situations, hazardous chemicals, and infectious and communicable diseases. Operates a City patrol vehicle, firearm, and other weapons and equipment. Must maintain a level of physical fitness to perform essential functions.
