Performs responsible work in the coordination and supervision of summer recreation programs and activities with a 10 week assignment for the camp.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Conducts and supervises summer recreation programs, including arts and crafts, playground sports and games, and social recreational activities. Supervises activities and programs at Camp Discovery sites, or other designated sites. Conducts programs in an orderly fashion, maintaining discipline and good conduct from the children. Enforces safety and other rules and regulations; prepares reports on activities and programs; maintains responsibility for materials, supplies, and equipment used for programs.Ensure the appropriate check-in process for all children.Develop smaller activities throughout the week. Main supervisor for all the children in groups of up to 9 at a time. Supervises activities and programs to the recreation program sites. Conducts programs in an orderly fashion, maintaining discipline and good conduct from the children. Enforces safety and other rules and regulations; prepares reports on activities and programs; maintains responsibility for materials, supplies, and equipment used for programs.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
T-shirts provided to all camp counselors Works inside and outside in various weather conditions. Most work is performed outside in the heat.Works around or in noise, dirt, dust, water, slippery surfaces or heights.Training is provided to all camp counselors WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
