Description
As a Swim Instructor II, you will be responsible for:
- Instructing and assessing varied levels of aquatic skills to diverse age groups
- Leading and managing other swim instructors
- Conducting staff training
- Managing swim instructors for the summer league program
- Assisting with swim lessons
- Acting as the 'head coach' of the summer league swim team
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year swim lesson instruction experience
- Experience in customer service-oriented employment
- Coaching/teaching experience
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to complete swim instructor training at the Woodburn Aquatic Center
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Hy-Tek software including team manager and meet manager
- USA Swimming Coaching certifications
- CPR and First Aid experience
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish and/or English/Russian) strongly desired
