The City of Woodstock is a charming historic community of 25,630, located 55 miles northwest of Chicago on Metra rail. JOB SUMMARY :
This position is responsible to perform professional and technical tasks in current and long-range planning activities, development review, zoning, and historic preservation; implement City development related ordinances and plans; provide high-level customer service, public relations, technical assistance or advice regarding planning, zoning and historic preservation matters to citizens, businesses, project applicants, City Commissions, City staff and / or City officials. The work is performed under the supervision of the Development Services - Building & Planning Director.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Landscape Architecture, Geography or related field with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in municipal planning; or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities may be accepted by the City.
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license and acceptable driving record for eligibility of City coverage.

The current annual salary range for this salaried / exempt position is $81,139.03 to $113,588.80 , with an anticipated hiring range of $81,140.00 to $97,500.00 , based on qualifications of the successful candidate. We offer a very competitive group benefits package along with an IMRF pension.
