JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible to enforce compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, rules and regulations of the City by responding to citizen complaints, investigating and documenting violations, and taking corrective action. This work is performed under the direction of the Building & Planning Director.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma/equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of Code Enforcement, Building Construction, or Plan Review experience
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A valid motor vehicle operator's license and acceptable driving record for eligibility of City coverage
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the use of departmental software ,OpenGov
- ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Certification (if not already in place, required within one (1) year of date of hire)
SALARY:
Starting pay rate for this full-time, non-exempt/hourly position is $28.74 per hour. We offer a very competitive group benefits package along with an IMRF pension.
