POSITION SUMMARY and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position is responsible to assist the Information Technology Department with providing support to the end users by troubleshooting and correcting hardware, software and network connectivity problems; installing PC's and peripherals; and configuring other electronic devices The work is performed under the supervision of the Information Technology Director.
- Performs Help Desk support.
- Installs, configures and administers networked PC operating systems.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots problems of computer users with applications, procedures, software and hardware.
- Remotes to end-user devices to troubleshoot problems with hardware and software.
- Troubleshoots problems of end users with applications, procedures, software and hardware.
- Implements and maintains manufacturer updates and revisions to operating systems, software, application packages and utilities; installs these updates in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users.
- Ensures end-point devices are protected by virus and malware protection software.
- Configures/deploys desktop and laptop computers.
- Configures/deploys department and desktop printers.
- Assists with setting up technical equipment for meetings, webinars and events.
- Provides assistance with IT supported hardware and applications in use by local and remote users across multiple sites.
- Provides imaging of desktops, laptops and tablets to insure a standard and clean operating system with applications required.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma/equivalent with previous experience working with computer hardware and software installations.
- Must be familiar with Windows 7 & 10 operating systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic understanding of networks and client/server communications.
PAY RATE
The position is a limited part-time, non-exempt/hourly position with a starting pay rate of at least $17.99 per hour. No additional benefits with the exception of Accrued Sick Leave - earn 1 hour for every 40 hours worked on a prorated basis and available for use after 100 calendar days of employment.
