The City of Worcester seeks qualified applicants for Microsoft 365 Administrator in the Innovation and Technology Department. Under the direction of the Director of Applications, the Microsoft 365 Administrator will ensure the secure and efficient implementation, configuration, and maintenance of our specific applications to meet the evolving needs of the business and its users. The position will install, modify, and maintain software programs for successful day to day operations. This individual will be responsible for user experience, ensuring seamless access to tools and applications, and addressing any issues within the platform. The position will adjust as necessary, and trouble shoot problem, evaluate new technology, and implement recommendations.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS :
- Provide platform administration of assigned platforms.
- Work effectively with groups throughout the city to elicit requirements and recommend solutions that are secure, sustainable, meet business objectives, and help the city maximize the value of technology investments.
- Develop proposed solutions that take advantage of opportunities to streamline and automate workflows. Proposed solutions take into account business needs, usability, personas, technology availability, cost, governance, security and sustainability.
- Manage and administer user provisioning, licensing, and configuration of assigned platforms.
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard sensitive data within assigned platforms. Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support related to assigned platforms, including collaboration with end-users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate assigned platforms with other business applications and tools, and to improve business processes.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and IT staff on assigned platforms and features. This includes guidance around information architecture, governance, security, and fully utilizing the platforms.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation around configurations, procedures, policies, and best practices for assigned platforms.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements related to assigned platforms. Ensure the organization's adherence to relevant standards and policies.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
o An equivalent combination of education, training and four (4) years of experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the required duties of the position will be considered in lieu of the above-mentioned requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
SALARY RANGE : $91,395-$120,261 annually, full-time, exempt, with an excellent benefits package.
