The Wyoming Fire Department is seeking applicants to fill a firefighter position and to establish a list for future firefighter openings. Consider joining the dedicated public service professionals at the City of Wyoming.
Firefighters respond to fires and other emergency calls and must be familiar with modern firefighting techniques, rescue, and emergency medical procedures. Applicants are required to possess a State of Michigan certified Firefighter II (or its equivalent), State HazMat Operations Certification (or its equivalent), and State Medical First Responder (or its equivalent). Candidates with full time firefighting experience and EMT-B certification are preferred.
All fire staff participate in high-quality in-house and outsourced training and professional development programs, which translates to better quality service for the residents, visitors, and businesses in the City. The annual wage range for this position is $66,830.40 to $82,057.25. The hourly wage range for this position is $25.50 to $31.31 per hour. These hours are based on 24-hour work shifts and 2,620.8 hours annually and do not include overtime that may be earned.
