About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Fire Marshall to lead our team in ensuring the highest level of fire safety and protection for the citizens of Yazoo City. As a Fire Marshall, you will be responsible for directing the overall activities of fire prevention, investigation, and inspection.
Main Responsibilities:
- Enforcement of Fire Codes: Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with State and Municipal laws related to fire prevention and safety.
- Investigation and Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations into fires, identifying causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Community Outreach: Foster positive relationships with community members, business owners, and other stakeholders to promote fire safety awareness and education.
- Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to subordinate personnel, ensuring effective implementation of fire safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED and completion of Mississippi State Fire Academy certification.
- Experience: Minimum five years of experience in fire safety, supplemented by formal training in fire science and methods of fire prevention.
- Certifications: State Certification in Fire Inspection.
