What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time Parking Enforcement Officer position at City of York?
Directs traffic, gives directions, and reports accidents by standing in the streets directing traffic through or directing to a stop; using radio to call dispatcher for reporting accidents or crimes; and ensuring that the flow of traffic is maintained in all situations.
Acts as Cashier for the City garage by taking cash; giving change to customers; and presenting appropriate tickets for those using the garage.High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Under and including six months of relative experience.Valid Class C driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
All persons who become employed by the city on or after the effective date of this section (May 18, 2022) shall be or become residents of York County or any County contiguous of York County (Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Hartford, Baltimore, and Carroll Counties), within six months from the first date the employee achieves permanent employment status.
Must pass a background check, Drug Test and the PA Child Abuse History Clearance check.
Note: Child Abuse History Clearance must be dated within one year from the date of application and must show that "no record exists".
