What are the responsibilities and job description for the Amusements Trainer position at City Park Conservancy?
Summary: The Amusements Trainer is responsible for the hands-on education and training of all Recreational Services department employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned
- Facilitates training for all Ride Operators, City Putt Attendants, Birthday Party Attendants and Food and Beverage Attendants. Creates and implements instructional material as needed to ensure knowledge retention.
- Participates in all departmental orientations and training sessions.
- Evaluate trainer and trainee performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Confer with management and conduct performance audits to identify training needs based on current processes, changes, and other factors.
- Conduct formal audits of employee performance and provide feedback as needed.
- Fill in for Carousel Gardens or City Putt positions when necessary.
- Tracks all certifications; re-trains as necessary/required.
qualifications and education requirements
- High school/ GED with three years’ experience in customer service.
- Previous experience facilitating classroom and hands on trainings for medium to large groups preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite software - Specifically Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation software
- Must obtain ServSafe Food Handlers and Responsible Vendor certification
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, nights, and holidays
- Must be high energy and have strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
