OUTREACH OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Introduction:
The main mission of the City Rescue Mission of Lansing, since its founding, has remained to teach the Word of God as found in the Christian Bible (Romans 10:13-15), edify and equip the saints to be committed followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings (Ephesians 4:11-13), and present an authentic representation of traditional, Biblical Christianity (Philippians 1:9-11). For this reason, employees will be guided by the Doctrinal Statement established by the board of directors.
Job Summary:
The Operations Coordinator must be a multi-tasker who is detailed oriented with strong administrative and organizational skills. They must have exceptional communication skills and be discerning when sharing information. The operations Coordinator must be friendly, encouraging to guests and able to complete tasks independently and accurately.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
No daily supervisory responsibilities, unless there is a volunteer assisting for the day
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Show the love of Christ to each person in each interaction.
- Regularly pray with guests.
- Create and maintain a safe environment at all times.
- Monitor and assist with the shower and laundry process.
- Keep the facility clean and orderly at all times.
- Address the questions, comments, and concerns of the guests.
- Assist guests with their varying needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Attend all staff meetings and department meetings as scheduled.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety hazards
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Ability to use basic computer programs including Outlook, and basic word processing
- Ability to be ready and willing to do whatever is required in the moment
- Ability to interact with staff, guests, and volunteers while remaining professional, polite, and courteous
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, evenings, days, weekends
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass a background check
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and have no lifting restrictions
Personal:
· Be ready at all times to give an answer of the Hope that lies within the committed follower of Christ, as outlined in the Christian Bible, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15).
· Live everyday life in submission to the authority of the Christian Bible (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
· Commit to continual training under those called to teach the doctrines of the faith and the Word of God, as well as to seek out fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:24-25), as evidenced by being a member in good standing in a local evangelical church.
· Be willing to assist in other areas of the Ministry as necessary to serve our guests.
Position Requirements:
- This position requires overnight availability. This shift is typically scheduled 1am-9am.
