Philadelphia Sightseeing Tours is currently hiring seasonal part time and full time tour guides for our busy season.
Philadelphia Sightseeing Tours is a locally operated company. Philadelphia retail, tourism, and hospitality industry is the foundation that Philadelphia Sightseeing Tours & Transportation operates upon.
Philadelphia Sightseeing Tours & Transportation prides itself on delivering the safest, most accurate, and entertaining tours of the city and comfortable and affordable charter services.
Our guides run both double decker hop-on hop-off tours, walking tours, night tours, and seasonal themed tours.
We are especially interested in meeting you if: (These are nice to have, not required!)
- You have a background in the performing arts, history and/or education
- Enjoy meeting new people
- Work well independently
- Think well on your feet
- Have a high attention to detail
- Speak any foreign languages (CEFR B1-C2)
- Can provide a high level of customer service
- Are Reliable and Punctual
- Are able to work in all weather conditions
- Can walk up stairs and walk/stand on uneven surfaces (Philadelphia sidewalks)
- Are legally able to work in the United States
Tour guides are paid per tour in addition to their tips. In the summer months, tour guides can expect to make around $100 for four tours and up to $100 in tips per day.
Our busy season is from when the winter weather ends (usually around mid-March) and ends when it begins to cool down (around mid-October.) We are happy to work around your needed start and end dates as well as weekly schedules. Guides are typically scheduled to work full eight hour days.
At the start of the season, there will be a paid training period of a minimum of 40 hours before being put on solo tours.
