Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive contract lifecycle management from contract request to signature and repository.
- Draft (via template agreements), review, negotiate, and track a high volume and wide range of agreements, including master service, statements of work, clinical research organization, confidentiality, sponsored research, and material transfer agreements.
- Work independently and collaboratively with internal and external counsel.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and counterparties to ensure timely preparation, review, negotiation, execution, and management of contracts.
- Facilitate internal contract approval and execution.
- Develop and update template agreements.
- Establish a contracting SOP and implement a contract tracking database.
- Lead initiatives to create, improve, and maintain contract policies, procedures and processes.
- Assists SVP of legal with legal issues on projects involving cross functional legal matters.
- Assist with patent filings, docketing, and tracking City’s patent portfolio.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant legal education
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience tracking, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with substantial experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and legal counsel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
