What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soil Sort Associate position at City Uniforms and Linen?
Position Description:
Sort and count soiled textiles and linens prior to washing. Unroll and strap roll towels.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Place soiled mats on conveyor and load into slings
- Sort all linens in blue soil bags and place on conveyor or in proper cart
- Sort and count all linens in green soil bags, record counts on soil tickets, and place linens on conveyor belt or in proper cart. Place completed soil ticket in designated location.
- Place soiled garments on conveyor
- Load items that were place on conveyor belt into proper sling, sorting by the posted product type, colors, and bag weights
- Program slings and send to overhead storage area prior to tunnel washer.
- Unroll roll towels and then strap roll towels prior to washing
- Identify abused product and supply information/product to CSR
Primary Goals and Objectives:
- Sort product to assure proper wash formulas are used and to provide accurate information to the Customer Service group by turning in proper soil counts of all items that need identified.
