POSITION DETAILS
New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY), a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn offering associate and baccalaureate degrees, is accepting applications for a Director of the Office of Student Life and Development (SLD).
Reporting to the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, the Student Life and Development Director will create, plan, and implement a comprehensive leadership development and student activities program, oversee advisement of registered student organizations, and direct community service and information programs for the City Tech community. The Director will be expected to ensure adherence to the College Association's policies, procedures, and financial obligations, oversee planning and operation of the student food pantry, and conceive and execute campus-wide programs and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising all Student Life and Development professional staff and student employees.
- Managing all funds comprising the operational budget of the Office of Student Life and Development.
- Planning and executing New Student Orientation, the annual Commencement ceremony, and other campus-wide events.
- Developing, coordinating, and evaluating campus-wide social and cultural programs, including cultural history / celebration months.
- Overseeing the development of Student Life and Development program outcomes and associated assessment of all SLD programs.
- Advising the Student Government Association and coordinating the yearly student governance elections and retreats for newly elected student leaders.
- Advisement / supervision of student media-related organizations (e.g., newspaper, podcasts, etc.).
- Collaborating with academic departments to incorporate student learning into SLD co-curricular programs and services.
- Developing a college-wide comprehensive student leadership program, including workshops, leadership retreat weekends, and individualized club presentations.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and eight years related experience required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
124,656 - $141,858. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
