Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This postion is part time and would consist of working 2-3 days a week at 10 hour shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, internal medicine, and infectious disease care.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients' health status.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including infectious diseases.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests while ensuring accurate documentation of findings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Monitor vital signs and manage patient care in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide education to patients regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems and medical best practices.
  • Participate in sterile processing procedures as necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Address behavioral health concerns through appropriate assessment and intervention.

Requirements

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices.
  • Experience in internal medicine or infectious disease care is preferred.
  • Proficient in performing physical examinations and interpreting vital signs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical standards in healthcare.

Pay: $112,680.00 - $121,823.00 per year
