What you will do...
- Assist in the preparation and review of franchise disclosure documents (FDDs), agreements, and related legal documents.
- Research and compile franchise-related regulations and compliance requirements to support franchise operations.
- Manage and organize franchise-related documentation and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external legal counsel to facilitate efficient communication and workflow.
- Assist with filings and registrations as required by state and federal laws.
- Support the legal team with various projects, including litigation support and contract management.
- Stay updated on changes in franchise laws and regulations that may impact the business.
What is required...
- Associate's degree or a Paralegal Certificate is strongly preferred; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in franchise, corporate, or real estate law.
- Strong understanding of the franchise industry, relevant laws, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in legal research, writing, and document preparation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal database management systems.
