Position Summary
The Training Manager will serve on City Winery’s training team and make an impact implementing and managing training programs that educate, inspire, and develop team members across multiple areas of the business. This role oversees key training initiatives, including the Manager-in-Training (MIT) Program and Hourly Training Programs at all of our locations, while also collaborating on Standard Operating Procedure and compliance.
This operationally minded leader will partner closely with local teams to elevate guest experiences, foster staff development, and maintain excellence in hospitality standards. Success in this role requires creativity, a process-driven mindset, and the ability to build strong connections while driving initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities
Program Management:
Lead the MIT Program and Hourly Training Programs for the region, ensuring alignment with company standards.
Manage and maintain compliance training for all assigned locations.
Field Training:
Provide on-site training support for rollouts and new initiatives.
Evaluate and certify team members to become Certified Trainers at each location.
Collaboration:
Partner with Human Resources to enhance staff performance review processes and developmental coaching.
Work cross-functionally with operations teams to identify and address training needs.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Periodically assess training programs to ensure effectiveness, alignment with company policies, and adaptability to team needs.
Identify areas of opportunity through data analysis and feedback, recommending innovative solutions.
Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel to support training initiatives across assigned locations.
Minimum of 5 years in training management, field training, or operations in a high-volume hospitality environment.
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
Experience delivering training content tailored to diverse audiences.
Operational mindset with a passion for solving problems creatively and efficiently.
Proven ability to self-start, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Background in culinary training or wine training is a plus.
Operationally minded and process-driven with strong attention to detail.
A connector and people person with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Self-starter with a creative approach to problem-solving and team development.
High emotional intelligence (EQ) and ability to lead with empathy.
