Multimedia Reporter (Part-Time)

Cincinnati CityBeat has served the Greater Cincinnati area for 30 years, delivering cultural and political reporting, entertainment previews, food and drink reviews, event coverage, and more.

We are seeking an energetic, part-time multimedia reporter to join our editorial team and contribute to arts and entertainment coverage in Greater Cincinnati. This role involves creating video content, writing articles and assisting with social media strategy and execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Produce weekly video content for our food & dining, arts & culture, and entertainment sections.
• Assist in creating video content for other coverage.
• Support social media strategy and manage content posting.
• Write articles under the arts & culture vertical.
• Produce at least one slideshow article per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience writing for an online or print publication, including student news organizations or freelance work.
• 1-3 years of experience creating video content.
• 1-3 years of experience managing and posting social media content.
• A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to accept constructive feedback.

Compensation:

Part-time salary: $20,000/year
